I am wedding photographer that uses the skills gained through my press photography to capture a range of great images with a reportage / documentary feel. I find that the high pressure press environments taught me how to capture those split second moments as well as being able to organise a group of people quickly while being professional at all times. A lot of people say you should not mix press and wedding photography but this is where I thrive – how many wedding photographers can say they have photographed the Queen, celebs and the Prime Minister!
I was lucky enough to recently be voted as a regional finalist in the 2016 Wedding Industry Awards as well as having work featured in various bridal magazines.
Choosing your wedding photographer is a key part of your day at not something to be taken lightly. After all you need to make sure you have photographs and memories that will last you a lifetime!
With plenty of experience of weddings and also other high-pressure press and event photography I’ll work carefully with you prior, during and after the big day to make sure you are happy.
You will hopefully see from the example portfolio that I work hard and unobtrusively to capture a stunning set of images with a reportage feel as well as photographing the more traditional shots at the same time. Some couples prefer not to have any staged group shots and would rather go with the flow – it’s entirely up to you.
Depending on your preference, style and budgets I can tailor packages to suit your needs while being very competitive on price. You may choose to simply have your images on a CD or uploaded online but can also have the option of a stunning handcrafted album in a variety of sizes.
I’m currently the recommended wedding photographer at Thatchers Hotel, East Horsley, Guildford, Surrey.

“Cannot recommend Oliver Dixon highly enough. His photographs are outstanding and he is passionate about his craft. He put us at ease when we met and wasn't at all pushy. Whereas some photographers we met focused on the price, selling and the 'there's a package for everyone', Oliver let his work do the selling.
He was a real hit with our guests and was fun but unimposing on the day. I rarely like photos of myself, and absolutely love his ones of me. In fact, we have loved all of the shots he took.”
